Special Cold-Formed Parts
Forming on our nutformers, partsformers, and cold-headers can have significant advantages for many parts in high volumes:
- Little or no material waste - cost savings
- Higher speed of manufacturing - cost savings
- Near net shapes - cost savings
- Consistent formed size - high quality
- Cold-worked grain structure – inherently stronger parts
- Less energy imparted to process - environmental benefit
We have secondary capabilities to complete our cold-headed and machined parts:
- Reaming
- Boring
- Assembly
- O-ring
- Sorting
It is common for previously machined parts to be converted to the cold-heading process. Precision Fittings can cold-form parts from 1/8” to 1” diameter, depending on length. At ½” diameter, we can head up to 4” long. We cold-head all metals including:
- Carbon Steel
- Alloy Steel
- Stainless Steels
- Aluminum
- Brass
- Bronze
- Copper
- Exotic Stainless
